    Newsletter subscriptions are managed through Beehiiv. When you subscribe, your email address is transmitted to and stored by Beehiiv. Beehiiv operates as an independent data processor and is subject to its own Privacy Policy, available at beehiiv.com. We do not share your email address with any other third parties.

3.2 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect and analyse information about how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this data on our behalf. The information generated (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers that may be located outside your country of residence.

Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymisation enabled where possible. Google uses this information to evaluate use of the Site and compile statistical reports for us.     We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the DecadeForge newsletter. Upon unsubscribing, your data is deleted from our mailing list in accordance with Beehiiv’s data retention practices.

Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is retained according to Google’s standard retention policies.

  1. International Data Transfers
    As a Site accessible globally, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than Sri Lanka, including the United States (where Google and Beehiiv maintain servers). These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where transfers of EEA or UK personal data occur, we rely on the applicable transfer mechanisms recognised under GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses maintained by our third-party processors).
